5 Weeks Left

I just had a doctors appointment today. Remember a few weeks ago I wrote how excited I was that I passed my glucose test, well...Today at the doctors office they found lots of sugar in my urine, soooo no diabetic diet yet, but they have asked me to change my breakfast diet. No fruit, juices or cold cereal. What else do I eat in a hurry. Their suggestions: hard boiled eggs, whole wheat toast with peanut butter, and cottage cheese. Anyone else have any suggestions let me know. At any rate, it is only five weeks, I can do anything for 5 weeks.

Oatmeal? The little flavored packets of course. I really like the weight control kinds, because they have less sugar, same taste, and lots more protein.

sorta sounds like Body for Life all over again, doesn't it?
toast and PB or scrambled eggs sounds good to me. I also don't get as hungry when I eat more protein.

if you do protein shakes the muscle milk ones taste pretty good (pre-made so easy and fast).

I like the sugar free carnation instant breakfast, a protein shake, scrambled eggs on toast, and soy sausage are some of my favorites.

I am Amaras sister and am due 5 days after you. I have gestational diabetes and the only thing I can eat for breakfast is this:
1C FF milk
3 strawberries frozen
handful of frozen blueberries
2 TBSP of protein powder
1 tsp splenda
I blend it all and it is pretty good. I eat that with a small super bran muffin. I put the recipe for those on my Blog. Good luck!

If you don't like oatmeal, you could try cream of wheat. It is fast and filling--good with half and half or milk.
