Weekend Update

Not a very exciting weekend. Friday night we went to dinner with some friends to my favorite place, Teppanyaki (YUM). Saturday I spent the morning cleaning the house and sanding my dining room table that I have been working on for what seems like forever. (If I would have known how long it would take to sand, I would have kept it the way it was.) Then I took the 3 boys to get pictures taken at JC Penneys. Noah would not smile, but I think we were able to get some pretty good pictures. We shall see. Kevin spent part of the day Saturday hanging drywall in the basement. (We had hoped to pay someone to do it for us, but when we got the bids we realized we would have to do it ourselves-so sad.). Sunday was church. My friend and her husband taught a great lesson on Emergency Preparedness. They lived in Mississippi during Hurricane Katrina and saw and lived through real reasons why we need to be prepared. It was one of those lessons that made me want to run right out to the store and buy lots of food, water, other essentials and a generator. So thanks Kelly and Rick you are the reason we are going to blow the budget this month, but really thanks.

Easter Slackers!

This year we were in St. George for Easter weekend and had to drive home on Easter day. In order to avoid heavy traffic for the drive home, we decided to skip church. (I know it is horrible, people who only go to church only once a year go on that day and we were total slackers.) So anyway, today we took the pictures of the kids in their Easter clothes.

Sorry about the pictures, I am not very good at just putting them in a straight line. I am not a blogger pro.

Kids at Night

I was reading a friends blog and he was talking about how he checks on his kids while they sleep at night because he adores them. We do that as well, but sometimes we are grateful that we do it for other reasons. Here is Isaac asleep with a heating pad on, yes that alone is a problem, but even worse is the cord is wrapped (luckily loosely) around his neck.

Kindy 500

For Tanner's kindergarten class we needed to make him a car out of a box for their Kindy 500 (they get in their cars and drive around the US). Yesterday Tanner and I spent most of the day turning an ordinary diaper box into Lightening McQueen. It started off fun and then it just took to long, but it needed to be finished. The things a mom will do for her child.

Gymnastics

The boys have finished their gymnastics class. Last night they had a little program for the parents to come see their progress. Here are some pictures of our little gymnists.

Easter Weekend

We just got back from a fun filled weeekend in St. George. The weather was awesome (upper 70's). There were lots of fun things to do: swimming, St. George Art Festival, Car Show, dying Easter eggs, Easter egg hunt, hiking with grandpa, and of course Rock Band. We got to see our friends Chris and Melia who were also in St. George from California. Unfortunatly, our camera broke (fell off the counter), so we had to take most of our pictures on the cell phone. Overall it was a great weeekend.

Looks Comfy

The night before we left for St. George, we went into the kids bedrooms to check on them as we always do. We went into Isaac's room and he was not on his bed. No biggie, he goes in our room to sleep sometimes, nope not there either. We notice the light is on in the toilet/tub area of their bathroom. We go to open the door and it won't open, something is in front of the door. Yes, that something was Isaac. Totally asleep on the bathroom floor, with pillows and blankets. So I carefully tried to squeeze myself through the door to get him (and of course take some pictures). The next morning I asked him why he wanted to sleep on the bathroom floor. (In my mind I'm thinking he would respond by saying "My tummy hurt" or something along those lines.) "It was light in there." Interesting. He slept by the toilet because he wanted the light on. Maybe we need to get him a night light.
