St. George Here We Come!

Tommorrow we are headed to St. George for the Easter weekend. We are looking forward to 3 fun filled days of warm weather, yummy food (for me only one day of that), Easter festivities, games and of course Rock Band. See ya when we return.

The Blinds

Today I am beginning to tackle my least favorite household chore. Cleaning the blinds. I think in the 2 1/2 years that we have lived here I have cleaned them, ummmmm, never. So needless to say I have got a big job ahead. Not really sure of the best way to do this. I have my Swiffer Duster and all that does is move the dust all around. I have tried using a damp paper towel and that seems to be working, but it is taking forever. If you have any tricks that seem to work for you, please let me know. Thanks.

Oh What A Not So Glorious Morning

I woke this morning to find the ground covered with snow. Yuck. It is a week before Easter and we are freezing. Oh happy Day!

Chocolate Rolo Cookies

This is my favorite cookie. A gal in at my church makes them often and I tend to eat too many everytime. SO for my first cheat day on my new diet, I decided it would be a perfect time to make these cookies myself. They were super easy to make and they are delicious. Here is the recipe:

1 box Devil's Food Cake Mix
2 Eggs
1/3 Cup Oil
1 Package of Rolos candies

Mix the first 3 ingredients together and then roll them into balls with 1 Rolo inside each ball. Bake at 350 for 9 minutes. The smaller the cookie the better they taste.

Isaac's Sick

I was hoping that I would be the only one to get sick, but it does not seem like that is so. Isaac has been lying around on the couch since he got home from preschool. (Sorry to all the kids in his class, we didn't know.) What he has so far does not seem like the same thing I had, and we will hope that it does not turn into that, because that would not be pretty.

Body for Life

So tommorrow I officially begin my new diet/exercise program. (The reason I mention it here on my blog is that maybe if people know I am doing it then I will keeep up with it. We will see if this way of thinking works.) So for a few months I was trying to do exercise without diet and it just wasn't working for me as well as I would have liked. So, me and some gals from the ward are starting the Body for Life challenge. It is a 12 week deally. It is a high protein diet with no junk food allowed, except one cheat day a week (that is the only reason I can do it, I need a cheat day). It also has 6 days a week excercise program that alternates between cardio and weights. Still not sure what I am going to do for the weight part since I don't have a gym memebership or a weight set, so there may be some improvising. It is only 12 weeks, so hopefully I can make it the whole time. Wish me luck.

I've Been Sick

Sorry I have not posted in a bit. I was lucky enough to get the stomach flu this week. How fun for me. But I am back. Because I was sick and lying on the couch, this weekend was not that much fun. I did however get to talk to two of my Ricks college roomates, and that was fun to catch up. So Thanks Megan and Jen for making my weekend.

This picture is of the 3 of us at Jen's mission farewell.
